Spinning CSS taken from Pragmatic Pineapple. I made the Yin-Yang symbol though. :} (Hover over it, go on.)
I worked pretty hard to make two images spinning stacked on-top of each other, but I think the code is horrendously messy.
This is just a page I'm popping here for now as a place for "storage". I always intend on good organisation, but I have so many interests that pop up and disappear that I'll just chuck stuff here for the time being.
Anyway, the reason I created this page initially is that I've been finding some very cool neocities and I want somewhere to store them for now, so they will be stored here. :)
Neocities Pages/Websites
Doll Archive: has some really cool stuff in the compendium there, really interested in the Art Books and Coding Snippets sections at the moment, but I can't say I've gone through it all. They have a "zoom" function on their images with the code for it in the coding snippets, so I might nab that with credit at somepoint.
Blogatogatog: is a way to filter through Mark Rosewater's Blogatog based on customer criteria, handy for a magic nut like myself.
Sakura Dreams: embodies a early noughties style of graphics and website incredibly well, and may take some ideas from it in the future.
Tiny Universes: incredible website that as above embodies a great style, really intrigued by the neopets stickers I found on their website, so unsure if I should do something where I scan in all my little bits and bobs onto my website. Don't know how taxing that would be on my storage/hosting capabilities through neocities, but can't imagine it would be too terrible.
Arynlei: Cool playing card designs with animations when flipped through, very nice medieval style.
Ideas
Just going to chuck every idea I have for this website in this list.
- Map to explore by clicking in different areas (with regards to this, maybe look at image maps instead of absolute clickable images each time)
- Inputting hotlinked images into a card folder, extension of my google sheets digital folder
- Choose Your Own Adventure using Twine
- A way to display my legendary MTG collection, currently done through google sheets
- Page for pictures I take and want to display, will need to think about how this might impact site size and bandwidth usage. (Doubtful this website will ever have enough visitors to matter.
- Worldbuilding page, normally i just scatter ideas around, would be nice to have a place to put them all. (Multiple attempts at using WorldAnvil have proved fruitless in this endeavour)
- Talk about source, hammer and maps I have made there. As well as maps I've enjoyed in the past. Specifically around the server with tonnes of minigame maps on CS:S
- Continue putting in my Commander decks
- When I play my cube, take pictures of peoples decks and update the cube site with what decks people built and their "rankings" (wins to losses)
